The primary objective of this article is to present the design of an Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-based web application for the management and preservation of academic projects created by students at the Chorotega Regional Campus of the National University of Costa Rica.
The study employed a descriptive design to identify the characteristics of the phenomenon, subjects, and population under study, using a mixed-methods research approach that integrated both qualitative and quantitative perspectives.
The results obtained through the proposed methodology revealed the need for a web platform capable of managing, visualizing, and disseminating the various types of academic work produced by students.
Consequently, a proposal centered on a digital web application is presented to digitally manage and preserve student academic projects, allowing civil society to access all generated information and expanding the reach of the University’s activities and academic outputs.
