Judicial Conciliation: an effective mechanism for concluding a misconduct proceeding

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of conciliation as an alternative mechanism for conflict resolution in cases of minor offenses, according to the Peruvian legal framework, particularly Article 484, paragraph 2, of the Criminal Code. A doctrinal and legal review is carried out on conciliation, its foundations, and its practical application in the criminal field, demonstrating how this tool contributes to procedural efficiency, victim-offender satisfaction, and effective harm reparation. It concludes that conciliation is an appropriate means to conclude processes for minor offenses, provided that due process and the principles of voluntariness and fairness are respected.
