Relación entre el uso del smartphone y los niveles de ansiedad en estudiantes universitarios de primer año de la carrera de ciencias de la actividad física y deportes de la universidad adventista de Bolivia

El uso problemático del smartphone constituye un problema emergente entre los estudiantes universitarios, asociado con indicadores de malestar psicológico, particularmente la ansiedad. El objetivo fue determinar la relación entre el uso del smartphone y los niveles de ansiedad en 73 estudiantes de primer año de la carrera de Ciencias de la Actividad Física y Deportes de la Universidad Adventista de Bolivia, mediante un diseño correlacional transversal no experimental con los instrumentos SAS e IDARE.
Los resultados revelaron correlaciones positivas significativas entre el uso problemático del smartphone y la ansiedad rasgo (r = .411, p < .001) y la ansiedad estado (ρ = .303, p = .009), siendo la dimensión de Relación Orientada al Ciberespacio la que mostró la asociación más fuerte (r = .383). Se concluye que la ansiedad de disposición estable predispone a los individuos con mayor fuerza al uso problemático del smartphone que la ansiedad situacional transitoria, lo que tiene implicaciones clínicas para las intervenciones en el contexto universitario boliviano.
