Abstract

This study analyzes social pressure and its relationship to the experience of faith among young Christians at the El Buen Samaritano Church in Río Blanco, Matagalpa. It was conducted using an interpretive-comprehensive paradigm, with a qualitative approach and descriptive scope. Thirty young people participated, selected through purposive sampling; data were collected via semistructured interviews and analyzed using thematic content analysis. The results show that social pressure is multidimensional and relational in nature, with influences predominantly stemming from social media and educational institutions, associated with the need for belonging and the fear of rejection; furthermore, effects on emotional well-being were identified, such as insecurity, cognitive dissonance, and spiritual guilt. It is concluded that prayer, biblical wisdom, and interpersonal support are recognized as coping strategies that promote autonomy and resilience.
