The importance of the use of technology as a tool in the professional practice of social work. A case study

The objective of this article is to analyze the use of technology as a tool in the professional practice in social work in which a quantitative approach is adopted, with the design of exploratory-descriptive research, which implemented a case study with fourth-grade students of the Faculty of Social Work Culiacán of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa. For this study, a sample of 40 students was selected, using simple random sampling. The main instrument used in the research was the questionnaire and the survey as a technique. The questionnaire was designed with structured questions to obtain specific information from the participants, mostly multiple choice and Likert scale to facilitate quantitative analysis of the responses.
The results demonstrated the importance of technology in the work of the Social Worker to complement the benefits of their commitment to the community in which they will work as professionals.
