This essay presents the function of legal language as a material and functional element of normative bodies, its impact on due process, and its corresponding influence on access to justice. The study also addresses the connection between legal language and interdisciplinarity in lawmaking.
It has been deemed particularly important to address, as the focus of this essay, the resulting cross-border effects arising from various international instruments—such as treaties and agreements due to legal language. The essay also examines the challenges citizens face and their ability to understand legal texts in order to ensure adequate access to justice.
The essay concludes by stating that the ongoing training of legal practitioners strengthens the guarantee of an effective and inclusive judicial system for all stakeholders.
