Among the most prevalent neurodegenerative diseases are Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, with a frequency of 120 people per 100,000 inhabitants. Symptoms are divided into motor, non-motor, and behavioral categories. The symptomatic triad is related to tremors, postural instability, and bradykinesia. Non-motor symptoms include autonomic nervous system dysfunction. Finally, behavioral symptoms include depression, dementia, and psychosis. Through a literature review, we analyzed the complications that can arise during the prosthetic rehabilitation protocol in patients with Parkinson's disease compared to the general population, patient management during dental interventions, and the possibility of rehabilitating these patients. Prosthetic treatments for patients with Parkinson's disease represent a promising challenge for improving their quality of life. Clinical practice and research related to this topic, particularly with adapted protocols and techniques, play a fundamental role.
