Pensamiento computacional y ajedrez educativo: una propuesta para fortalecer el aprendizaje de las matemáticas en primaria

El artículo analiza la integración del ajedrez y del pensamiento computacional como estrategia desconectada para fortalecer los aprendizajes matemáticos en la educación básica primaria. La investigación se desarrolló desde un enfoque cualitativo, con apoyo en la Investigación Basada en el Diseño, y contó con la participación de 62 estudiantes de primero a quinto grado. Se implementó una secuencia didáctica basada en estaciones de aprendizaje con tablero, piezas de ajedrez, coordenadas, patrones, trayectorias y resolución de situaciones. La información se recolectó mediante observación participante, diarios pedagógicos, registros fotográficos y producciones escolares, y se analizó mediante triangulación y codificación cualitativa. Los resultados evidencian avances en la ubicación espacial, el reconocimiento de patrones, la secuenciación, la descomposición, la abstracción y la depuración.
